The new air box has been reconfigured and placed at a higher, more centralized location for filtering and processing air. The no-tools air box features a dual-room design, capturing dirty air in one portion of the box and clean air in the other before sending it to the engine.

Torsional Trailing Arm Independent (TTI) Rear Suspension
ELIMINATES SCRUB AND CAMBER CHANGES
The only independent rear suspension that eliminates scrub and camber changes, meaning the wheels pivot up and down rather than in a butterfly motion. This ensures the vehicle moves only in the direction you point it. Reconfigured for improved traction and optimal transfer of power to the ground.
Double A-Arm Front Suspension with Dive-Control
BETTER STEERING FEEL
Includes dive-control geometry for better cornering and vehicle-braking dynamics. The use of a shortened spindle, along with anti-kickback geometry, provide a better steering feel. The 9-in suspension travel increases trail comfort and aggressive riding capability.
Rear Air Control Suspension (ACS) with FOX† Air Assist HPG shocks
Via an onboard compressor, the system adjusts the rear high-pressure gas FOX Air Assist shocks to six rider-selectable preload levels. This allows the rear suspension performance and stiffness to be adjusted on-the-fly. Comes with a hose to fill tires.
Visco-Lok† QE Auto-Locking Front Differential
All DPS-equipped models have Visco-Lok† QE, which has all the features and benefits of the standard quick-engagement Visco-Lok† differential, but with an even quicker engagement point. This differential, unlike some competitors' differentials, does not have a speed limiter.
Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
The Tri-Mode DPS™ features three selectable modes (MIN, MED, and MAX) of steering depending on rider preference. It is designed to offer less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed. Direct Link technology ensures fast response and less kickback. Also comes with Visco-Lok† QE.

A redesigned backrest reduces kickback and has added flex. It's also raised and angled to boost comfort and support. The passenger sits comfortably thanks to foot grip angles that create a natural resting position. Handholds flex to reduce impacts on the hands while riding.

Can-Am partnered with leading GPS manufacturer Garmin to equip the Outlander 1000 LIMITED with an integrated touch-screen Montana 650t GPS. Features 5 MP camera, preloaded topographic maps, 4-in color display, barometric altimeter, 3-axis electronic compass, wireless data sharing, and more.
This powerful 3,000-lb (1,361 kg) capacity factory-installed winch is equipped with a wired remote control that neatly stows in the underside of the ATV's front storage compartment cover.
