DS 450 Pro Josh Creamer Earns Second At AMA ATV MX Nationals Opener
Josh Frederick suffered a serious back injury after crashing during the Pro ATV race Sunday at round three of the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Motoworks / Can-Am Pro Josh Frederick finished third in the SxS Pro Production class at round two of WORCS.
Valcourt, Québec, February 12, 2013 – Team Motoworks / Can-Am Pro Josh Frederick piloted his Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R X® rs side-by-side vehicle to a third-place podium finish and his DS 450™ ATV to second overall at the second round of the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) this past weekend in Primm, Nevada. Fellow SxS Pro Production side-by-side class and Can-Am Maverick racer Pablo Veglia finished fifth.
Valcourt, Québec, February 1, 2013 – The 2013 Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R X® rs made its competitive debut at the WORCS ATV and side-by-side racing series this past weekend at a waterlogged Canyon MX in Peoria, Ariz. The opening round not only marked the first official race for the Maverick side-by-side, but also the return of the Can-Am DS 450™. The dismal track conditions, which included deep mud, standing water and wet sand in additional to the normal desert obstacles, made for a challenging start to the 2013 season. Two Can-Am racers, James Hill and David Martinez, posted top 10 finishes in the SxS Pro Production class in their Maverick 1000R X rs vehicles.
James Hill (IMG Racing) finished in sixth place out of 23 competitors in the side-by-side Pro ranks.
Valcourt, Québec, January 11, 2013 – BRP has stepped up its off-road racing efforts for 2013 after another successful campaign that saw Can-Am racers capture championships across North America, including the SCORE Baja 1000 in Mexico, the 12 Hours of La Tuque in Quebec as well as numerous national championship class titles in the U.S. For the upcoming season, BRP has signed new racers, added more racing circuits and expanded its side-by-side vehicle racing support to include the all-new Can-Am Maverick™1000R.

Valcourt, Québec, January 11, 2013 – BRP will provide more than US $2 Million to support its industry-leading Can-Am® ATV and Side-By-Side Racing Contingency program in 2013. Along with additional racing series, more classes added and expanded side-by-side participation for 2013, BRP has included the all-new Maverick 1000R side-by-side to the list of eligible Can-Am ATVs and side-by-side vehicles. Regional and national racers who compete on Can-Am ATVs and side-by-side vehicles in Canada and the United States are eligible for a cash payout through the program for the 2013 racing season.
For 2013 the new Can-Am Maverick 1000R (X rs package pictured) is an eligible vehicle for the 2013 Can-Am Contingency program.
