    Which models are involved?

Some model year 2018 Outlander™ and Renegade™ vehicles.

    What is the potential problem?

The fuel tank may build excessive pressure due to a blocked vent. This could cause fuel to spray on occupants or bystanders when opening the fuel cap, potentially causing injury. Re: On certain 2016 Can-Am DefenderTM Side-by-Side vehicles - Misleading park position displayed in instrument cluster

    Dear Can-Am® Owner,

BRP is conducting a safety recall on certain side-by-side models.

Our records show that you own a potentially affected vehicle.

    What is the potential problem?

On certain 2016 Can-Am DefenderTM Side-by-Side vehicles, the instrument cluster may display the gearbox position “P” even though the gearbox is not mechanically engaged in the park position. In some circumstances, this misleading display may result in the vehicle unexpectedly rolling away, which could lead to injury or even death.
