Brake Pedal Connecting Rod Pins Replacement
Dear Can-Am™ Spyder ™ Roadster Owner,
This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable laws. Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) have decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists on certain Can-Am Spyder roadsters models and are conducting a safety recall. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected vehicle.
What is the potential problem?
A pin securing the brake pedal connecting rod could disengage and eventually fall off.
This could cause a total loss of main brake function without prior warning. This condition may increase the risk of a crash possibly resulting in injury or death.

What should you do?
Contact an authorized BRP Can-Am Spyder roadster dealer and make an appointment to have the brake pedal connecting rod pins replaced as soon as possible. This work will be performed at no charge to you. This repair will take approximately less than one hour.

This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available. If you no longer own this vehicle or some information in this notice is incorrect, please contact BRP at your earliest convenience.
Federal regulations require that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within ten days.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
