The Dakar Rally in a nutshell

One prologue, 12 stages, 14 days and two shots at making history! The Dakar has five categories and the Can-Am racers team will compete in the lightweight vehicle category: Challenger (T3) and SSV (T4). The T3s are prototypes crafted by specialized makers and T4s are SxS models. Covering 5,000 km of treacherous terrain, our daring drivers are ready to rule the world’s toughest race again.

AJ Jones: 2023 T3 Champion

Defending his crown in the T3 class

Competing to win again in the same category, AJ Jones is a Dakar-experienced racer. He also won the 2022 Dakar race in the T4 category and other important racing competitions, like the 2021 FIA World Cup.

Chaleco López: Living Legend

Lavishing experience for over a decade

Racing Dakar for the 11th time, Francisco “Chaleco” Lopez is a big South American star in the competition. After winning the T4 in 2019 and 2021, and T3 in 2022, the veteran is back for the 2024 edition.

Rokas Baciuška: Racing Prodigy

Young, yet full of Dakar racing experience

The Lithuanian Rokas Baciuška was the third to cross the finish line in 2022 and the second in 2023, both in the T4 class. Will he be the first in 2024 and win the big Challenger (T3) Class? We will find out!

Sara Price : Long awaited debut at Dakar

Ready to make heads turn

Can-Am off-road racer, Sara Price, has officially announced her entry into the 2024 edition of the famed Dakar Rally. She secured entry after winning the “Road to Dakar” challenge presented by the A.S.O., organizer of the Dakar Rally. She will be racing in T4.

The Portuguese cross-country racer just won the Morocco Rally in the T4 category. João Ferreira just joined the Can-Am racers team to try to repeat his Morocco triumph at the 2024 Dakar Rally.

This year, Lukas Lauda, son of the great Austrian Formula One driver Niki Lauda, will pay homage to his father while racing. Lauda's vehicle will showcase a unique livery, echoing the iconic McLaren/Marlboro scheme, but with the BRP/Can-Am logos.
