WHAT ARE THE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS IN MY COUNTRY?

Drivers in the UK and Ireland need to hold a valid B (car) driving licence and be at least 21 years of age (equivalence valid on UK & Ireland territory only) or hold a valid A (motorcycle) licence.

You can ride a Can-Am On-Road product with a car licence (B) plus an official 7-hour compulsory training (through a driving school). (Decree 2010-1390 of 12 November 2010).

You can ridea Can-Am On-Road product with a car licence (B), if you have gained your driving licence before 1 May 2013.

For all new driving licences gained in Belgium after 1 May 2013, you need one of the following licences to ride a Can-Am On-Road product:

  • Motorcycle (A) license
  • Car (B) license + 4 hour training (through a driving school). Minimum age is 21 years.

You can ride a Can-Am On-Road product with a car licence (B), if you have gained your driving licence before 19 January 2013.

For all new driving licences gained in the Netherlands after 19 January 2013, you need an A (motorcycle) license to ride a Can-Am On-Road product and you need to be at least 22 years of age.

For all new driving licences gained in Luxembourg after 19 January 2013 an A (motorcycle) license will be required to ride a Can-Am On-Road product.

For all new driving licences gained in Germany after 19 January 2013, you need an A (motorcycle) license to ride a Can-Am On-Road product and you need to be at least 21 years of age.

For all new driving licences gained in Austria after 19 January 2013, you need to be at least 21 years of age.

You can ride a Can-Am On-Road product with a car licence (B), if you have gained your driving licence before 19 January 2013.

For all new driving licences gained in Spain after 19 January 2013, you need to be at least 21 years of age.

You can ride a Can-Am On-Road product with a car licence (B), if you have gained your driving licence before 19 January 2013.

For all new driving licences gained in Italy after 19 January 2013, you need to be at least 21 years of age.

You can ride a Can-Am On-Road product with a car licence.

Den 19. Januar 2013 kom det nye førerkort regler i Norge.

 

Nye Regler for motorsykkel

  • En ny førerkortklasse A2 innføres for mellomtunge motorsykler
  • Alder økes til 24 år for den som skal kjøre opp til tung motor sykkel direkte.
  • For å kunne kjøre 4-hjuls motorsykkel kreves førerkort klasse B. (personbil)
  • For lett trehjulet motorsykkel innføres førerkort A1, A2 og B.
  • For tung trehjulet motorsykkel kan man ha klasse A og B fra fylte 21 år.

Can-Am Spyder Roadster

Regnes som tung tre-hjulet motorsykkel med sine  1330 c ( fra ca 78 kW - 86 kW) og dermed trenger du klasse A

(Alder 24 år, 20 år for den som har hatt A2 i minst 2 år og B fra 21 år.

For alle førerkort som er utstedt før 19. Januar 2013 gjelder regler slik de var når det ble tatt. Om førerkortet derimot er blitt inndratt så gjelder de regler som nå er gjeldende.
