Rodrigo Ampudia

UTV champion & Baja 1000 winner

Hailing from Mexico & already an accomplished racer and businessman, Rodrigo—or RodAmp! for short—doesn’t slow for anything once the green flag drops. Follow him and the Monster Racing Can-Am team as they fly toward more strong finishes in the 2019/2020 season.

FAVORITE PLACE TO RIDE
Baja, Mexico

BEST OFF-ROAD STORY
My first race in a limited buggy class (1/2 1600) with my Dad as my co-driver. We lost power steering at the start of the race and continued to push hard ending up in 2nd place. After the race his jaw was sore from bracing himself in the car. He has never ridden with me since.

BIGGEST INSPIRATION
My Father, he has shown me so many valuable lessons in life. I owe it all to him.

PHILOSOPHY ON LIFE
Go hard. Be real.

FAVORITE FOOD: Tacos

MUSIC TO RIDE TO
Reggaeton

RACING ACCOMPLISHMENT
Winning the “Wold Championship” race and winning the cup race that same weekend my rookie season. Also qualifying 1st in both classes Pro2 and ProLite on my Dads birthday was special.

DREAM RIDING LOCATION
I’d like to ride Whistler Balckcomb from the glacier to the village after heavy snowfall.
