The majority of Alex’s workday is spent outside, tending to the 500 beef cattle she raises with her father, Mark Templeton, and staying on top of maintenance and repairs. Her Can-Am Defender PRO XT is with her every step of the way.
“The bigger bed on the Defender PRO is unbelievable. It’s great for hauling around longer fence posts, bales of hay, loading up buckets of feed,” she noted. “Anything you need in it, you don’t realize how much you need that extra space until you have it.”
Another Templeton family tradition Alex embraced at a very young age is hunting. Every fall, she takes her Defender into the bush to track whitetail deer, using both a bow and a rifle. “I just really latched on to this lifestyle; I love it,” said Alex, who regularly posts hunting and farming photos on her Instagram page, @alextempleton_.
“She likes to show that women can do this kind of stuff, and if anybody can do it, it’s her,” added Kim Templeton, Alex’s mother.
