How to Choose the Size and Pressure for ATV or SxS tires?

In off-roading, ATV and SxS tires are kind of a big deal. They keep you grounded (literally!) and connect you to your environment. Especially when ripping through harsh and uneven terrain, your tires are the stars of the ride.

To get the most out of your ride, your tire pressure needs to be just right. And when it comes to choosing a set of ATV and SxS tires, you need to know which one fits your Can-Am vehicle.

Today, we’ll be breaking down how to determine both pressure and size.

Recommended Tire Pressure

Depending on the model of your vehicle, the riding conditions and the tire model itself, the recommended tire pressure will change. It’s the same with regular cars.

While this might not be the straightforward answer you were looking for, there’s no one-size-fits-all recommendation for this variable! To figure out the optimal tire pressure for your specific situation, check the Tire Pressure and Maximal Load label on the vehicle. If the label is missing or damaged, contact an authorized Can-Am Off-road dealer to get a new one free of charge.

You can also check your operator’s manual under Specifications. If you’re not sure where to find your paper copy, BRP’s full catalog of manuals is available online.

Checking Your Tire Size

Did you know that the size of you ATV and SxS tires can be decoded on the product itself? Check the sidewall to figure out what size you’re dealing with and whether it’s suitable for your vehicle.
