We Were Born in 1973

Laying the groundwork 50 years ago

Our story began in 1973 when the first Can-Am vehicle was introduced in the industry. Designed for endurance racing and motocross, the models were our first attempt at creating bold ways to move the world.

Moving from design to reality

Can-Am’s first focus was on motocross racing, but the first bold innovation was the Spyder in 1996. The first sketches of the vehicle were drawn at the year’s Annual Design Forum, a harbinger of future success.
