Choosing inclusive riding gear
for a 3-wheel vehicle

In order to make sure each piece fits properly, we started from scratch and redid our entire body chart (p. 95) to adjust our proportions. When you’re looking at curvy or plus-size clothing, you want to make sure the cut of each piece will sit at the right spot and fit your body in the right places.

We suggest looking at three elements when choosing your gear: 

1. Stretch of the garment 
2. The garment’s proportions and where different elements - like seams - sit.
3. Extended length in the lower back. 

Let’s break that down a little more. For jackets, make sure the item is stretchy around most of the body, as well as the arms and the shoulders. That way, you stay comfy in any stance. In our case, we use a softshell four-way stretch material for a flexible fit that really hugs your curves.

Now, onto the sizing chart. In our case, plus and curvy sizing extends from X to 2X. We use different body proportions than standard sizing to make sure your bust, waist, and hip ratio fits perfectly! 

Lastly, look for subtle adjustable elements. The Annick jacket is a perfect example: when you adopt a seated stance, your jacket will shift around on your body, so you’ll want to make sure you have enough “give” to sit comfortably. Look for zippers at the back or slide hip adjustments
