Fuel Vapor Canister Vent Hose Inspection/Replacement
Dear Can-AmTM Roadster Owner,
This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor
Vehicle Safety Act and the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) have decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists on certain Can-Am Roadster models and are conducting a safety recall.
Our records show that you own a potentially affected vehicle.
What is the potential problem?
In some circumstances, fuel vapors may exit the fuel vapor canister vent hose in the enclosed engine compartment. Fuel vapors in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire.
What should you do?
Call an authorized BRP Can-Am Roadster dealer and make an appointment to have your fuel vapor canister vent hose inspected and if required replaced and re-routed. This part replacement should take less than one hour to complete. The dealer will perform this work at no charge to you. If you had this hose repaired before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.

This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available. If you no longer own this vehicle or some information in this notice is incorrect, please contact BRP at your earliest convenience.

If you are a vehicle lessor, federal law requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within ten days.
