High Voltage Battery Housing Not Properly Sealed from Breather Valve - Risk of Loss of Power and Risk of Fire

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Campaign ID Number: 25V275.

Dear Can-Am® Vehicle Owner,

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. BRP has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain MY25 Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin vehicles. As a result, BRP is conducting a safety recall.

Our records show that you own a potentially affected vehicle.

What is the potential problem?
The breather valve may not seal properly and allow moisture or water to enter the high-voltage battery. This could lead to a vehicle losing power and increase the risk of a crash. Over time, this could also lead to a battery fire, even when the vehicle is not being driven. These conditions could increase the risk of injury or even death.

Which models are involved?
Certain MY25 Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin vehicles.

What will BRP do?
BRP will install a new protection plate over the breather valve and if necessary replace the breather valve, free of charge. It will take less than an hour to complete.

What should you do?
Schedule an appointment immediately with any authorized BRP Can-Am dealer to have the safety recall repair performed on your vehicle. To find a dealer, see the end of this letter.

Until the recall remedy is performed, your vehicle can be driven and charged normally. As a precaution, do not drive your vehicle in water above the footpegs.

If you leased this vehicle:

● Send a copy of this letter to the lessee within ten working days after the day you received this letter.

● Do the same with any future letters about this safety recall.

If you know the current owner or operator, please forward this letter to them.

If there has been a change of ownership or you have a change of address, please notify BRP so we can update our records accordingly.

What to do if repairs were performed prior to the recall?
If you have already paid to have your vehicle repaired for this issue, please contact BRP Customer Service. Our team will evaluate if you are eligible for a reimbursement of the repair costs. Your vehicle will still need to have the safety recall performed.
