Instrument Cluster Malfunction - Risk of Crash (Motorcycles)

Instrument Cluster Malfunction - Risk of Crash (Motorcycles)

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Campaign ID Number: 26V-575

Dear Can-Am® Vehicle Owner,

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. BRP has decided that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in the following vehicles. As a result, BRP is conducting a safety recall.

Our records show that you own a potentially affected vehicle.

What is the potential problem?

Depending on driver usage of USB and Bluetooth connections, a communication failure or memory leak may occur within the instrument cluster. This condition can cause the cluster to temporarily reset, freeze or become persistently blank. Physical telltales will continue to function properly.

An inoperative or frozen instrument cluster will fail to display critical safety information, including vehicle speed and warning telltales. Additionally, during a cluster reset, turn signals and hazard lights will temporarily deactivate or fail to respond. These conditions reduce the driver's awareness of vehicle status and limit the ability of surrounding road users to recognize the driver’s intent, increasing the risk of a crash.

Which models are involved?

MY25 to MY26 Can-Am Pulse

MY25 to MY26 Can-Am Origin

What will BRP do?

BRP will update the instrument cluster software to resolve this issue at no charge to you. Because the vehicles are equipped with over-the-air (OTA) capabilities, you may perform the update yourself or have the option to schedule an appointment at any authorized BRP Can-Am dealer to have the update installed.

What should you do?

Over-the-air (OTA) option

● The instrument cluster software is available starting September 16, 2026.

● To initiate the installation of the newer version of the software, please refer to the process at the following locations.
